NYSE Euronext Announces The Appointment Of Bruno Colmant As Head Of Euronext Brussels

NYSE Euronext today announced that Mr. Bruno Colmant has been appointed as head of Euronext Brussels, member of the Managing Board of Euronext N.V. and member of the Management Committee of NYSE Euronext. This appointment, which follows the decision of Euronext N.V.’s Supervisory Board as well as the respective non-objections of the CBFA as concerns Euronext Brussels, and, as concerns Euronext N.V. and NYSE Euronext's positions, of Euronext N.V.’s College of Regulators and of the Dutch Finance Minister, will take effect from October 1, 2007.

John A. Thain, Chief Executive Officer, NYSE Euronext said: “We are delighted that Bruno Colmant will join the NYSE Euronext team. Bruno Colmant said: “It is a great honour to succeed Olivier Lefebvre and to join NYSE Euronext at this stage of its development. I look forward to helping the exchange and the Belgian market build upon their impressive success achieved to date”.

As previously announced, Mr. Bruno Colmant replaces Mr. Olivier Lefebvre, who has expressed his intention, after 12 years in the exchange world, to pursue new personal projects.

Bruno Colmant, a Belgian citizen, is 46. He was Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Executive Committee of ING Group - Belgium and Chief Executive Officer of ING Group - Luxembourg (2002-2006). He started his career at Arthur Andersen & Co. and subsequently worked for Sofina, Intégrale and the brokerage house Dewaay. Since November 2006 he is Chief of Staff to the Belgian Minister of Finance. He holds a PhD in Applied Economics, Brussels University, an MBA from Purdue University, as well as the CFA and Belgian CPA certifications.
