NYSE Euronext (NYSE: NYX) announced today that the NYSE Composite Index (NYA), comprised entirely of companies meeting the industry’s highest standards of an NYSE listing, rose 6.58% during 2007. The NYA includes all issues listed on the NYSE from issuers around the world. For 2007, the index outperformed both the Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 indexes.

Tracking the gains experienced by three of the NYSE indexes in 2007 are the iShares NYSE Composite Index Fund (NYC), iShares NYSE 100 Index Fund (NY) and NYSE Arca Tech 100 Index Fund (NXT) which are exchange traded funds offered to investors.
