NYSE Euronext And NYSE Foundation Donate $500,000 To The Red Cross To Support China Earthquake Relief Efforts

NYSE Euronext (NYX) and the NYSE Foundation have approved donations totaling $500,000 to the Red Cross Society of China and the American Red Cross International Response Fund to support the relief efforts associated with the earthquake in China's Sichuan province.

“The NYSE Euronext community joins the world in expressing our sympathy and support for those affected by this tragedy,” said Duncan L. Niederauer, Chief Executive Officer, NYSE Euronext. “This donation will help the Red Cross deliver much-needed assistance in the form of food, water, shelter, clothing, blankets and medical services. We encourage others to contribute to this important relief effort.”
