The following CEO roundtable on the NYSE Euronext 2009 CEO Report featured commentary by: Daniel Amos, Chairman & CEO of Aflac Incorporated (NYSE: AFL), Trudy F. Each year the report looks at issues and challenges CEOs of NYSE Euronext-listed companies face as they chart the future course of their businesses.
The fourth annual NYSE Euronext CEO Report, conducted by Opinion Research Corporation, themed "Managing During Economic Turbulence," was the product of input from CEOs representing more than 250 NYSE Euronext-listed companies. A renewed focus on a strong balance sheet, strategic acquisitions, operational efficiency, sound management practices, as well as attracting and retaining the best workforce were key focal points of this year's survey. The survey's findings underscored that the current U.S. and global economic conditions will separate the best companies from great ones.
