NYMEX To Offer New Natural Gas Calendar Spread Option Contract

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. today announced that it will introduce a November to April five-month calendar spread option on natural gas futures, beginning on August 3.

The first listed spread will be an option between the November 2006 and April 2007 natural gas futures contracts, and the commodity code will be IEX6.

The option will expire one business day prior to the termination of November 2006 natural gas futures contract.
