New York Mercantile Exchange shares opened today at US120 - double its expected price - and continued climbing. Nymex stock lists under the ticker symbol NMX on the New York Stock Exchange.
At this moment NYMEX is ineligible for membership of the FTSE MV Exchange Index, as it fails on the amount of free float being made available to the public. Currently, NYMEX are offering a total of 6m shares out of a total shares in issue of 86.49m, which equates to approx. 6.9% free float which falls below the FTSE/MV Exchange Index minimum 15% requirement.
