NYMEX Sets Gold Futures Open Interest Records

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., a subsidiary of NYMEX Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: NMX), today announced that its gold futures contract reached record open interest levels for the fifth consecutive day.

On Thursday, the open interest in the gold futures contract peaked at 475,644 contracts, after setting records on October 5, 8, 9, and 10, surpassing the previous record of 443,912 contracts set on October 3.
