NYMEX ClearPort® Open Interest Crosses The 10 Million Contract Mark

The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc. today announced that for the first time open interest for the slate of products on NYMEX ClearPort clearing and trading surpassed the 10 million contract mark last week.

As of June 23, NYMEX ClearPort open interest was 10,243,308.

James E. Newsome, NYMEX President and Chief Executive Officer, said, "This is a significant milestone for NYMEX ClearPort, which was launched in 2002. We are gratified that the industry has come to rely on NYMEX's off–exchange clearing platform as a part of its diverse energy portfolio."
