Nordnet Bank AB – A New Warsaw Stock Exchange Remote Member

On July 6, 2007, the WSE Management Board authorised Nordnet Bank AB of Sweden as a WSE Remote Member. The company will deal in all financial instruments and will operate in its own as well as in investor’s account.

Nordnet Bank AB, one of the largest Scandinavian brokerage houses, is a member of OMX (all markets) as well as Deutshe Boerse (XETRA), Nordic Growth Market. Nordnet Bank AB offers access to other stock markets, through its network of agents.

As a leading Scandinavian internet-based brokerage house, Nordnet Bank AB serves 140.000 clients, mainly from: Sweden, Norway, Finland, Denmark, Germany and Luxemburg. The company manages SEK 44 bln worth of assets.

There are 14 Remote Members operating on the WSE from Hungary, Czech Rep., Austria, UK, France, Germany, Sweden and Estonia. Glitnir AB (former Fischer Partners Fondommission AB) was the first Swedish WSE Remote Member.

Foreign Members are increasingly active on the Warsaw trading floor, as the value of equity turnover for the first half of 2007 is more than four times higher than in the respective period in 2006 (PLN 9,6 bln compared to PLN 2,3 bln in 1H 2006).

Remote Members have direct access to the WSE trading system, without the requirement of being physically established in Poland or using local intermediaries.
