Nomura Enhances US Equities Trading Platform With Strategic Hires

Nomura is pleased to announce the appointment of Pascal Bandelier and Paul Sangimino as Co-Heads of US Cash Equities. Both joined the firm this summer and have been focused on building the firm’s trading and sales trading capabilities for institutional clients.

Pascal Bandelier, who will run cash equities trading and trade the technology sector, will be based in New York and joined from Barclays Capital, where he oversaw trading for technology, media and telecommunications stocks. He will be responsible for market making in all US common stocks, risk management, and the customer-facing team of sector specialists. He graduated from Northwestern University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics.

Paul Sangimino, who will manage cash equities sales trading as well as cover institutional investors, will be based in New York and joined from Citigroup, where he was head of US cash equity trading. Prior to that, Paul worked on the Lehman Brothers equities trading desk. He graduated from Bucknell University and received an MBA from Columbia Business School.
