Trading at the DCE reached new heights today as new records for both trading volume and turnover were set. 9,435,112 contracts were traded on the exchange today totaling CNY 559.384 billion, surpassing the previous records of 7,957,338 contracts worth CNY 380.318 billion that was set on October 21st, 2010.
Soybean meal trading volume hit a new all-time record high today with 3,752,038 contracts traded worth CNY 129.916 billion, surpassing the previous high of 2,856,700 contracts traded on October 12th, 2010. Soybean oil trading volume also hit a new all-time record high with 2,295,448 contracts traded worth CNY 234.307 billion, surpassing the previous record of 2,177,476 contracts traded on August 13th, 2010.
