New Seat Sale Record In IOM Division of Chicago Mercantile Exchange

A seat sale in the Index and Option Market (IOM) Division of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange today hit a record high of $385,000. The previous record was established March 27 for $345,000, replacing the $320,000 record set July 6, 1995. The current bid and offer are $345,000 and $400,000, respectively.

The IOM Division was established in 1982 and gives seat holders the right to trade equity index products and all options offered on the exchange.
