On November 12th, 2008 the number of trades made on FORTS hit the record high.
By the closure of the main trading session on November 12th, 2008 the number of trades in futures contracts reached 167,747. The previous record was registered on October 30th, 2008 with the market participants concluding 165,175 trades.
November 12th, 2008 also saw a record number of trades in the RTS Index futures contract. By the end of the main trading session 124,001 trades were made.
The previous record in the number of RTSI futures trades was set on October 23rd, 2008 when the market participants made 116,432 trades.
