Date 08/09/2008

27 exchange traded funds from the Commerzbank subsidiary ComStage have been tradable on Xetra since Monday. With this extension of the XTF segment, Deutsche Börse further expands its position as Europe’s leading ETF trading platform.

“With ComStage, we welcome the eleventh ETF provider on Xetra. We are pleased that the issuer has opted for a listing on Europe’s top ETF platform in terms of turnover,” said Rainer Riess, Managing Director of Deutsche Börse’s Cash Market Development department.

ComStage ETF Dow Jones STOXX 600 TR becomes tradable for the first time on Xetra. It tracks the performance of the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Index, which contains the 600 largest shares of the following European countries: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.

18 additional ETFs relate to the current 18 sector indices based on the Dow Jones STOXX 600 Index.

Six ETFs are based on the selection indices DAX, Dow Jones EURO STOXX 50, Dow Jones EURO STOXX Select Dividend 30, Dow Jones Industrial Average, NASDAQ-100 and Nikkei 225.

Moreover, the investor has the possibility of participating in the performance of two money market indices: the Commerzbank EONIA Index, which is based on the effective overnight rate determined by the European Central Bank, and the Commerzbank Fed Funds Effective Rate Index based on the US overnight rate.

The product offering on Xetra in the XTF segment currently comprises a total of 357 exchange-traded index funds, making it the largest offering of all European stock exchanges. This selection, together with an average monthly trading volume of over €9 billion, makes Deutsche Börse’s XTF segment Europe’s leading trading venue for ETFs. The following ETF families are currently tradable in the XTF segment: ComStage, db x-trackers, EasyETF, ETFlab, iShares, Lyxor, Market Access, PowerShares, SGAM, UBS Exchange Traded Funds and Xmtch.
