NASDAQ Senior Vice President Robert H. McCooey Leads NASDAQ New Listings Business

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc. ("NASDAQ(r)"); (Nasdaq:NDAQ) announced today that Robert H. McCooey, Jr. will lead New Listings and IPOs for NASDAQ, while continuing in his role as head of NASDAQ's Capital Markets Group.

In this expanded role, McCooey is responsible for managing NASDAQ's efforts to attract U.S. listings, including initial public offerings (IPOs) and switches from other exchanges. Additionally, he will continue to manage NASDAQ's efforts to engage private equity firms, investment banks, and institutional investors on key NASDAQ issues, initiatives and services including capital raising options and exchange listings.

"Running the Capital Markets Group has given me the opportunity to work closely with our New Listings team and to develop a comprehensive understanding of that piece of our business," said McCooey. "I am looking forward to integrating my new role with my old to better serve NASDAQ issuers through these two closely coordinated communities."

McCooey will report to Bruce Aust, Executive Vice President of the Corporate Client Group. He succeeds William O'Brien who departed from the New Listings Group in August.
