NASDAQ OMX On Verge Of Changing Facebook Status

NASDAQ OMX Group is reported to be in preliminary discussions with the Securities and Exchange Commission about a potential settlement over its handling of Facebook's initial public offering.

According to the Wall Street Journal, NASDAQ OMX is discussing a potential USD5 million fine with the SEC. NASDAQ has offered to compensate customers USD62 million in respect of losses stemming from Facebook IPO trades.
