Nasdaq Experiences Market Interruption

The Nasdaq Stock Market, Inc., today announced that shortly after market participants began entering quotes for Microsoft after a trade halt for material news dissemination, Nasdaq began to experience intermittent problems with its quotation system. By 3:02 pm, when efforts to recover the quotation system were unsuccessful, SelectNet and SOES were suspended. At 3:06 pm, the quotation system was back up and pricing and all data feeds were operating as normal. SOES and SelectNet were reestablished at 3:20 pm.
