At 11:14 am MSK on 12 August, Moscow Exchange detected certain issues in connecting to its Derivatives Market. At 11:23 am MSK, some clients were disconnected from the trading system causing the Exchange to suspend trading from 11:23 am MSK.
According to a preliminary investigation, the underlying cause of the outage was malfunctioning telecommunication equipment causing problems with market data delivery to clients.
At 11:30 am MSK the problem was resolved. The system has been available for order withdrawal as of 11:35 am MSK. Trading was resumed at 11:50 am MSK.
Moscow Exchange's other markets have been operating as normal.
