TMX Group Inc. today announced that Montreal Exchange (MX) experienced a record in monthly trading volume in March 2011.
Total volume traded was 5,711,489 contracts, surpassing the previous record of 4,592,757 contracts that was set in February 2011.
In addition, the exchange experienced a quarterly volume trading record, with 14,553,661 contracts traded in Q1 2011, which exceeds the previous record of 12,000,048 contracts set in Q1 2007.
