The MidAmerica Commodity Exchange, a wholly-owned affiliate of the Chicago Board of Trade, announced trading volume of 69,264 contracts for March 2001, up 20.2% from February 2001.

• MidAm average daily volume: 3,148
• Agricultural futures and options complex trade was up 17.8% from February 2001 at 53,168
• Wheat futures were up 69.5% from February 2001 and up 50.7% from March 2000 at 7,799
• Corn futures were up 25.1% from February 2001 at 12,979
• Financial futures and options complex trade was up 29.6% from February 2001 at 9,547
• U.S. Treasury Bond futures were up 23.3% from February 2001 at 7,770
• Currency futures and options complex trade was up 27.4% from February 2001 at 5,484
• Metals futures and options complex trade was up 34.0% from February 2001 at 1,065
