(MIH), owner of Miami International Securities Exchange, LLC (MIAX®), MIAX PEARL, LLC (MIAX Pearl®), MIAX Emerald, LLC (MIAX Emerald®), MIAX Sapphire, LLC (MIAX SapphireTM), Minneapolis Grain Exchange, LLC (MGEXTM), LedgerX LLC (LedgerX), The Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX), and Dorman Trading, LLC (Dorman Trading), today participated in the World Federation of Exchanges' (WFE) 'Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy 2023' ceremony by ringing the opening bell at its Princeton, N.J. headquarters as part of IOSCO World Investor Week (WIW) 2023.
"Financial literacy provides an important foundation for a new generation of global investors and we are pleased to support the IOSCO WIW 2023 campaign to help promote investor education around the world," said Thomas P. Gallagher, Chairman and CEO of MIH. "MIH employees actively participate in various financial literacy training programs within our community, including partnering with local schools to provide students with a fundamental understanding of financial information that can help them prepare for their future financial success."
The 'Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy' Campaign supports WIW 2023, a global campaign to raise awareness about the importance of investor education and protection. This marks the fourth consecutive year that IOSCO and the WFE are working in partnership on the 'Ring the Bell for Financial Literacy' initiative.
Mr. Gallagher added, "MIH is also expanding its financial literacy efforts in U.S. futures markets through our exclusive sponsorship of the new Futures Discovery video series created by John Lothian News. The video series provides a unique way for young investors to learn more about futures markets since it is being taught by students from Roosevelt University in Chicago."
