MGEX Reports Trading Results For July 2023

Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX™), a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), today reported July 2023 trading volume of 245,080 contracts, representing a 3.4% year-over-year (YoY) increase from the same period in 2022 and a 9.7% decrease from June 2023.

MGEX reported Hard Red Spring Wheat (HRSW) Futures volume of 211,606 contracts in July 2023, an 11.3% increase YoY and a 14.6% decrease from June 2023. HRSW Options volume totaled 17,568 contracts in July 2023, a 285.4% increase YoY and a 170.3% increase from June 2023.

SPIKES® Futures volume totaled 15,906 contracts in July 2023, representing a 62.4% decrease YoY and an average daily volume of 795 contracts.
