MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), reports top 10 daily volume records in both total volume and electronic volume from Friday.
Electronic volume reached 5th-best on the all-time charts on Friday, finishing the day at 18,956. So far there have been three days this year that have made it into the top five on the electronic daily volume charts.
Total volume from Friday came in at 19,218 contracts traded, making it the 9th-highest volume day in the history of the Exchange. Total volume for August now stands at 125,004 with 11 trade days remaining.
New fiscal year records have been set for both total volume and electronic volume. MGEX’s fiscal year will conclude at the end of August.
Open interest following Friday’s activity was 73,613.
