MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), reports another top volume day on Friday, January 10, with 16,437 futures and options contracts traded, hitting number 18 on the daily Exchange volume records.
Electronic trades represented 14,172 contracts, coming in at number 12 on the daily electronic volume records. Futures contracts traded accounted for 16,292 total contracts traded, with options contracts accounting for 145 contracts traded. Exchange for physical (EFP) volume was 2,149 contacts. Ending open interest was reported at 70,527 contracts, the first time open interest had reached over 70,000 contracts since July 2011.
