The Minneapolis Grain Exchange (MGEX or Exchange) is pleased to announce that Roger Hipwell has joined the organization as Senior Marketing Manager.
“There are many exciting opportunities on the horizon for the MGEX,” said Mark G. Bagan, President & CEO of the Exchange. “We welcome Roger to our staff. His knowledge of and experience in the commercial and processing side of the agricultural markets will serve our members and customers well.”
Hipwell comes to MGEX with an extensive sales and marketing background in flour milling and bakery mixes. He has held key positions with Bay State Milling Company and The Pillsbury Company. More recently, he led sales and marketing to the large wholesale baking sector for Dawn Food Products and CHP Blenders.
At the MGEX, Hipwell will be involved with the continued growth of the spring wheat futures and options contracts as well as the evolving agricultural index products. The Exchange surpassed the 2007 annual trading volume record in November and is well positioned for continued record growth in 2008.
