MGEX, a Designated Contract Market (DCM) and Derivatives Clearing Organization (DCO), reports a top 20 record in electronic trade volume from Thursday. Total electronic volume came in at 13,380 contracts traded, 18th-best in daily electronic volume history. Total volume finished the day at 15,435 contracts traded.
Total electronic volume for June is currently 117,164 with seven trade days remaining in the month. The record for June monthly electronic volume is 194,886, set in 2011. After yesterday’s trade activity, electronic volume for June 2014 has made it into the top 25.
Open interest after Thursday’s trade date came in at 76,532 open contracts.
