MEFF Renews Its IT platform

MEFF has undertaken the renewal of its trading and clearing platforms with the acquisition of the equipment from IBM of the p-series family.

The new equipment will be put into production over the upcoming months and it will triple the command capacity process of the MEFF S/MART system.

In the new configuration, for the electronic trading systems, MEFF will have two clusters available, one in each of the Data Centers in Madrid and Barcelona, adhering to the highest criteria with reference to availability rates.

As for the data base supporting the clearing systems for derivatives and energy, it has been decided to follow the “Maximum Availability Architecture” recommendation of Oracle, with two Oracle RAC clusters replicated via Oracle Dataguard.
