March Statistics Report From The NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange - High Activity In Number Of Trades In Share Trading

In March we see high activity in number of trades in share trading, 6th best month in number of trades amounting to 222 658 per business day for NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange.

  • Share trading for Stockholm the number of trades are up 13% in March, compare to same month last year.
  • Share trading for Copenhagen the number of trades are up 22% compare to same month last year.
  • Turnover in Exchange Traded Funds for Stockholm in March are up 6% compare to March 2008.

Share Trading in March

The value of average daily share trading amounted to EUR 2.1 billion, as compared to EUR 3.0 billion during the past 12-month period. The average number of trades per business day amounted to 222,658, as compared to 213,462 during the past 12-month period. The total market cap of listed companies at NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange amounted to EUR 396 billion, compared to EUR 783 billion in March 2008.
