LME Appoints Nick Ong-Seng As Executive Director: Regulation & Compliance

The London Metal Exchange (LME) is pleased to announce the appointment of Nick Ong-Seng as Executive Director: Regulation & Compliance. Nick will replace Diarmuid O'Hegarty, whose new position as Chief Operating Officer will come into effect on Nick's arrival in August.

Nick Ong-Seng was previously the Head of Business Consulting at the Financial Services Authority, where he oversaw strategic, process and technology change. He was also involved in UK and European policy-driven regulatory change such as EMIR and MiFID II. Prior to this, Nick gained extensive risk management experience as the Managing Director of Operational Risk for Europe and Asia at Bear Stearns and as the Executive Director of EMEA Risk Management for J. P. Morgan.

Nick will report to the LME Chief Executive, Martin Abbott, with an additional reporting line to the HKEx Group Chief Regulatory Officer, David Graham.
