LIFFE lists second Short Term Interest Rate futures contract on LIFFE CONNECT™

The London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange (LIFFE) will today list the second of its STIR contracts, the Three Month Short Sterling futures contract, on LIFFE CONNECT™, following the successful listing of Three Month Euroswiss futures contract on August 23. LIFFE's Chief Executive, Hugh Freedberg, said "The listing of the Three Month Euroswiss futures contract on LIFFE CONNECT™ went extremely smoothly and we have been pleased with the trading volumes since. All of the business in this contract is currently trading on LIFFE CONNECT™. "The Short Sterling futures contract will be traded in parallel with open outcry trading, which gives customers a choice of trading platform". LIFFE's Three Month Euribor futures contract will be listed on LIFFE CONNECT™ on Monday 20 September.
