KVH Launches VPN Service KVH Netxpress To Enable Connectivity To Multiple Environments, Including Cloud Services - Optimizing Speed And Cost-Efficiency Of Access To Cloud And Internet Services Using An Integrated Access Circuit

Date 25/07/2013

KVH Co. Ltd., Asia’s leading information delivery platform headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, today announced it has launched KVH NetXpress™, a Virtual Private Network (VPN) service that can connect to various infrastructure environments, including cloud services, available from today.

KVH NetXpress enables access from customer buildings to a range of services, including data center colocation, managed IT services, KVH VPN, Internet access with virtual Firewall, KVH Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), and KVH Private Cloud through a unified access circuit.  KVH NetXpress optimizes customers’ IT infrastructure by seamlessly integrating and simplifying the required system, allowing customers to reduce their total cost of ownership.

KVH NetXpress aims to meet growing demand among enterprises for outsourcing of the management of their IT infrastructure and provides a cost-efficient platform that reduces complexity in infrastructure management and operations.

The KVH NetXpress service portfolio consists of NetXpress VPN, a customer’s redundant virtual router for connecting between customer end-points and various service gateways, NetXpress Access for connectivity between NetXpress VPN and customer end-points, and NetXpress Service Gateway for access from NetXpress VPN to various KVH IT Managed Services.  Pricing for 1Gbps Internet access with a virtual firewall begins at 5,000 JPY for 10Mbps per end-point.

KVH plans to sequentially add service gateways, which will expand KVH NetXpress service coverage from the Tokyo metropolitan area to Japan-wide, and to enable connectivity to multiple types of cloud services in the future.

“We are pleased to be offering our unified platform service to respond to increasing IT infrastructure management outsourcing demands.” said Zhongmin Guo, Chief Business Development Officer of KVH.  “KVH NetXpress allows customers to access all IT managed services and meet their business requirements through a managed unified access network.”
