The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 10,001.9 points at the end of June, an increase of 81.2 points from the closing value at the end of May. The weighted index reached 507.19 points at the end of June, an increase of 2.64 points from the closing value at the end of May.
Volume of trading in June was 3,637,470,500 shares, an increase of 18% over the previous month's volume. The value traded in June was KWD 1,595,795.45 an increase of 23% over the previous month's value. There were 157,014 transactions in June, an increase of 15% over the previous month's number of transactions.
168 companies were traded in June. Of the traded companies, 93 increased in price and 94 decreased in price.
The market capitalisation of the exchange at end June was KWD 30,615,573,000.
