The index of the Kuwait Stock Exchange reached 10,001.9 points at the end of June, an increase of 105.2 points from the closing value at the end of the first quarter. The weighted index reached 507.19 points at the end of June, an increase of 105.2 points compared to the previous first quarter.
Volume of trading in the second quarter was 10,612,590,000 shares, an increase of 17.5% over the previous quarter's volume. The value traded in the second quarter was KWD 4,545,005,325 a decrease of 2% over the previous quarter's value. There were 442,846 transactions in the second quarter, an increase of 24 % over the previous quarter's number of transactions.
173 companies were traded in the second quarter. Of the traded companies, 83 increased in price and 90 decreased in price.
The market capitalisation of the exchange was KWD 30,505,045,000.
