Trading volume of Mini-gold Futures was 1,268 contracts on November 10, surpassing the previous record of 1,198 contracts set on November 2, 2010. Also, open interest set a new record of 915, the highest since its listing.
Surge of trading volume of Mini-gold Futures was attributed to the increased money supply in the U.S. and revived fear on economic crisis in Europe, which subsequently increased investors’ interests on gold investment.
