Korea Exchange: Stock Price Movement Of Newly-Listed Corporations In 2015

The Korea Exchange (KRX) analyzed the stock price changes from IPO prices for the 60 corporations that have conducted IPOs among the total of 68 newly listed corporations in KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets. For the 60 newly listed corporations in KOSPI and KOSDAQ markets in 2015, the average price return rate compared to their IPO prices posted 21.11%. The 8 newly listed corporations in KOSPI market (re-listed corporations are not included), posted 13.89% of average price return rate when compared to their IPO prices (based on the closing price on Aug. 31, 2015). For the 52 newly listed corporations in KOSDAQ market (re-listed corporations are not included and the corporations transferred from KONEX market are included), their average price return rate when compared to the IPO prices posted 22.22%. Among the 60 newly listed corporations in 2015, 29 are general corporations and the rest 31 are Special Purpose Acquisition Companies (SPACs). The 29 general corporations saw their prices increased by 29.18% on average when compared to their IPO prices.The 31 newly listed SPACs saw their average price return rate posted 13.56% on average when compared to their IPO prices.
