Unlike the previous IR occasions, this is the first overseas IR event to be organized and attended by companies listed both on the Stock Market and the KOSDAQ Market. A total of 26 companies will participate in the occasion, including 15 companies from the Stock Market (Samsung Electronics, POSCO, KEPCO, LG Philips LCD, and Hyundai Motors), and 11 companies from the KOSDAQ Market (DMS, Mtekvision, Korea Logics, etc.)
In particular, participating companies will hold a joint corporate presentation, and a representative of the government will make a presentation on key issues of the Korean economy and the stock market for foreign institutional investors, to be followed by a Q&A session.
During the upcoming IR tour, Young-Tak Lee, the Chairman and CEO of KRX, will make a keynote speech, “The Launch of KRX and Future Plans for the Development of the Korean Market, and a Vision of its Role as the Financial Hub of Northeast Asia”. In the speech, he will elaborate on how undervalued the Korean stock market is and what kind of growth potential it has.
The occasion is expected to offer a good opportunity to explain in detail key economic issues, with particular emphasis on the recent matters regarding capital market policies such as stricter regulations on foreign investors, and solutions to pending problems such as soaring oil prices.
