In June 2008, turnover on SWX, SWX Europe and Scoach Switzerland totaled CHF 157.6 billion, a 16.3 % gain over the previous month. Trading in ETFs increased by 63.1 %. For the entire second quarter, turnover amounted to CHF 461 billion, 24.0 % lower than the CHF 606.6 billion recorded in the first quarter of 2008. The International Bonds segment registered a 27.7 % quarterly increase in turnover on a total of 10,140,110 trades in the 2nd quarter. Since the end of 2007, the blue chip SMI® index has declined by 17.9%, and the broadly based SPI® is down 15.4% year to date. On a monthly comparison basis, the SMI® dropped by 7.36 % and the SPI® by 7.55 %.
