Ketchum Right Pick For FINRA, Says SIFMA

The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) today praised the appointment of Rick Ketchum as CEO of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA).

“Now more than ever our regulatory agencies require the leadership of individuals who have impeccable enforcement credentials and who also understand the markets and the industry, making Rick perfectly suited for the job,” said Ira Hammerman, general counsel of SIFMA. “FINRA and its predecessor organizations have long played a vital role in investor protection and the proper oversight of our markets, and Rick Ketchum’s history of service with all of these groups has more than prepared him for his new role.
