KDPW is the global leader in data quality of issued LEIs according to the report published in May by the Global LEI Foundation responsible for management of the Global LEI System.
Data Quality Reports published since February 2016 are based on the GLEIF’s evaluation of LEI data quality. The evaluation of data of legal entities issued LEIs uses clear and transparent criteria including data completeness, credibility, and compliance with the international standards.
The LEI is a 20-character unique global legal entity identifier issued under ISO17442 by Local Operating Units (LOU) – numbering agencies accredited by the Global Legal Entity Identifier Foundation (GLEIF).
LEIs are issued in order to comply with the requirements of existing and prospective reporting regimes under international legislation (already binding and currently in drafting): EMIR, REMIT, MiFID II / MiFIR, CSDR, SFTR.
Since December 2013, KDPW has held the status of an LOU authorised to issue LEIs. KDPW now manages approximately 6,500 LEIs.
Globally, 29 entities including KDPW are authorised to issue LEIs.
