KCBT Secures Market Makers For Wheat Options Side-By-Side Trading

As with wheat futures in August 2006, the Kansas City Board of Trade is proud to announce the launch of side-by-side trading of wheat options contracts on April 14, 2008. For the first time, wheat options will be listed for electronic trading on the CME Globex® system during daytime hours, providing choice of access (electronic or traditional pit trading) to market participants.

The KCBT has arranged for several market makers to provide depth and liquidity to the electronic wheat options market beginning Monday, April 21. In addition, market makers will also respond to requests for quotes ("RFQs") on options spreads and strategies.

The KCBT remains committed to providing the marketplace with the best possible solutions and alternatives to meet the needs of both risk management and speculative trading strategies.
