Trading volume at the Kansas City Board of Trade during the month of November posted gains over both last month and last November. Volume in the hard red winter wheat contract increased 4.6 percent when compared to November 2006 and increased 18 percent when compared to last month.
Total exchange volume increased 3.4 percent over November 2006 and 14.4 percent compared to last month.
New contract highs were set in the May 2008 ($9.17), July 2008 ($8.03), September 2008 ($8.00), December 2008 ($8.04) and March 2009 ($8.01) contracts on Friday, the last trading day for the month of November.
