KB Securities have launched new ETNs tracking Solactive Natural Gas Total Return T-Bill Leverage Indices. The products are designed to provide Korean investors with transparent and rules-based access to tactical long and short exposure to the natural gas market.
Natural gas remains a central part of the global energy mix, supported by its role in heating, industrial processes, and power generation. At the same time, growing electricity demand, including from the expansion of AI-related data center infrastructure, has reinforced the importance of flexible energy sources and brought renewed investor focus to the commodity. Against this backdrop, leveraged and inverse natural gas strategies can serve as practical tools for investors seeking to express directional views or respond to elevated market volatility.
The Solactive Natural Gas Total Return T-Bill 1x Short Leverage, Solactive Natural Gas Total Return T-Bill 1x Long Leverage, and Solactive Natural Gas Total Return T-Bill 2x Long Leverage indices are derived from the Solactive Future Series 5-Day Roll Henry Hub Natural Gas Excess Return USD Index. The indices apply a daily leverage factor to the Solactive Future Series 5-Day Roll Henry Hub Natural Gas Excess Return USD Index and incorporate a short-term U.S. Treasury bill rate component in the total return calculation.
