José Manuel García –Margallo, Minister Of Foreign Affairs, To Open The 14th Latibex Forum

Forty-four Latin American companies and over two hundred European intermediaries and investors will come together during this gathering

The 14th Latibex Forum, organised by BME, begins tomorrow with an opening event that will be presided over byAntonio Zoido, Chairman of BME, withJosé Manuel García-Margallo, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and six large Spanish companies with significant presence in the region, led by Telefónica, represented byJulio Linares López, its Vice Chairman.

During this three-day event, forty-four Latin American companies will come together in Madrid with over two hundred European investors and European financial intermediaries.

On the first day, topics such as The strength of Latin America in times of crisis will be dealt with and the most renowned macroeconomists and managers will provide a global vision of Latin American economies. The Forum will feature a panel where the myths and facts about Latin America will be analysed from the media standpoint, as well as investing in Latin American stocks in Euros. The introduction of new topics is intended to meet one of the main goals of this gathering, that is, to bring it closer to Spanish retail investors.

The morning of the second day will be fully devoted to the Mexican and Andean countries, where, for the first time, financial analysts will express their opinions and recommendations on investing in these regions. The evening will be dedicated to Brazil and its leading growth companies, which will be analysed in depth by the experts.

The last session will feature the panels Latin America as an opportunity for Spanish companies and The decade of the “multilatinas”. During the third day of the Forum, recommendations for stocks listed on Latibex will be given by experts based on technical analysis.
