JonesTrading Expands Research Capability - Industry Veteran Eduardo Seda Named Vice President, Senior Energy Analyst

JonesTrading Institutional Services LLC (“JonesTrading”) continues recruiting top industry talent to resource growth, naming Eduardo Seda as Vice President, Senior Energy Analyst. In his role Mr. Seda is primarily responsible for research coverage on Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs) within the energy sector.

Mr. Seda officially joined the firm on January 16, and recently initiated coverage on the following companies to date:

  • Enterprise Products Partners LP (EPD)
  • EQT Midstream Partners LP (EQM)
  • EQT GP Holdings LP (EQGP)
  • Magellan Midstream Partners LP (MMP)
  • Western Gas Partners LP (WES)
  • Western Gas Equity Partners LP (WGP)

Based in New York, Seda is an industry veteran, bringing over 25 years’ experience and expertise to JonesTrading. Prior to joining JonesTrading, he was a Senior Analyst at Sidoti & Company, LLC specializing in coverage of Small- and Mid-Cap Asset Managers and Other Financial Companies within the Financial Services sector. From 2009-2016, he was a Managing Director & Senior Analyst in the Energy Group at Ladenburg Thalmann & Co., Inc., responsible for coverage of Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs) and Closed-End MLP Funds within the midstream energy sector. He worked as a Director & Senior Analyst in the U.S. Natural Gas and Electric Utilities Group at UBS Investment Bank. While at UBS, he held various research analyst positions and provided coverage on small- to large-cap companies in a broad range of industry sectors. Prior to UBS Investment Bank, he co-founded Maguire & Moore Management & Research Company, Inc., where he served as Co-President and oversaw the firm’s investment research and investment banking efforts, and Co-founder of Maguire & Moore Capital Advisors, Inc., where he served as Co-President and oversaw the firm’s portfolio management efforts. He holds an MBA from Columbia University Business School and his BBA from the Lubin School of Business at Pace University.
