Javier Alonso And José Antonio Álvarez Join BME’S Board

Bolsas y Mercados Españoles (BME) has appointed Javier Alonso and José Antonio Álvarez to the Board of Directors. Javier Alonso, Managing Director of the Bank of Spain’s Markets and Settlement Systems division, will replace Javier Aríztegui. José Antonio Álvarez, Managing Director, Banco Santander’s Financial Management and Investor Relations division, will replace Francisco Gómez Roldán.

Both directors have the same status as those who they will be replacing, that is, non-executive, and will be in office until next BME’s AGM, when ratification will be demanded. These appointments have been made following the submission of a Report by the Board of Directors’ Nomination and Compensation Committee.
