Record month for Finnish derivatives

In January, record figures for Finnish derivatives traded at Eurex amounted to 2,951,830 contracts (previous record: 2,580,332 contracts in April, 2004).

Share Trading in January

The value of average daily share trading amounted to EUR 2.1 billion, as compared to EUR 3.4 billion during the past 12-month period. The average number of trades per business day amounted to 207,466, as compared to 213,768 during the past 12-month period. The total market cap of listed companies at NASDAQ OMX Nordic Exchange amounted to EUR 415 billion, compared to EUR 799 billion in January 2008.
