Date 08/10/2010

Today the seventh Borsa Italiana “Italian Investor Conference” has taken place in Tokyo, bringing together relevant Italian listed companies and investors from the Far East.

This year, the Tokyo Investor Conference is being held in partnership with Nomura and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The companies involved are:

Ansaldo STS
Benetton Group
Eni
Prysmian
Snam Rete Gas
Telecom Italia.

The combined capitalization of these companies represents 24% of Borsa Italians’ entire market capitalization, with the average daily value traded in the companies totaling 570 million euro .

The programme of the Tokyo Investor Conference 2010 is made-up of both one-to-one and open meetings, with more than 40 meetings organised between the management of the attending companies and 15 relevant local investment firms.

The working day will end with a traditional dinner at the Italian Embassy in Tokyo.

Tokyo represents the last stop on Borsa Italiana’s 2010 roadshow dedicated to large caps and follows meetings held in New York and Toronto last April, and in London and Stockholm last June.

Destinations are chosen according to the relevance of single countries in the global investment portfolio, the inclination of foreign investors towards Italian companies and the geographic distribution of companies’ shareholdings.

In 2010 Borsa Italiana’s roadshow facilitated more than 400 meetings with 180 international investors.
