Italian Equity Roadshow 2012: Borsa Italiana Listed Companies Go To North America - New York, Boston And Toronto: 26-27-28 November 2012 - More Than 180 Meeting Planned

Starting on 26 November in New York and closing on 28 November in Toronto, Borsa Italiana confirms its appointment with the Italian Equity Roadshow in North America, where some of the most well-known Italian listed companies will meet American and Canadian investors. In addition to the traditional legs in New York and Toronto, this year for the first time listed companies go to the important financial place of Boston.

More then 180 are planned between the management of companies and about 80 international investors on behalf of 60 investment houses, as a confirmation of Borsa Italiana’s important and international network.

The specific aim of these meetings is to strengthen relations with American shareholders that represent about 35% of institutional investors in Italian companies shareholders base as well as stimulate and attract interest from new international investors from a perspective of promotion of Italian listed companies and so of the whole financial and economic system of Italy.

This is an important confirm, as 90% of institutional investments on the FTSE MIB coming from abroad and 35%, in particular, from US. The large number of meeting requested in these three important financial markets confirms the international vocation of Borsa Italiana

Thanks to Borsa Italiana’s Roadshows the attended companies can widen and diversify their shareholder base, which will also serve to benefit the stability and efficiency of the Italian market.
The 13 attended companies are: Astaldi, Autogrill, Azimut Holding, Buzzi Unicem, De Longhi, Finmeccanica, Indesit Company, Luxottica, Mondadori Editore, Recordati, Sorin, Telecom Italia e Trevi Fin Industriale.

Borsa Italiana’s roadshows are organised in partnership with the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and with the support of primary national and international brokers.
