The Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Group (IRISL)’s executives joined Tehran Securities Exchange’s opening bell ceremony on Sunday 18 May 2025.
Tehran Securities Exchange (TSE) hosted a special ceremony to mark the 17th anniversary of listing The Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Group (IRISL) in TSE. The ceremony highlighted IRISL’s pivotal role as one of the largest and most influential listed companies on TSE.
Highlighting 17 years of operational challenges and achievements, IRISL’s CEO emphasized the company has maintained its position as the leading company in the transportation sector, currently holding a market capitalization exceeding IRR 1,130 trillion. He further reported impressive financial results for the past fiscal year, with net profits reaching IRR 190 trillion - a significant increase compared to IRR 100 trillion in the previous year.
Reflecting growing investor confidence, the CEO pointed out a 32% rise in the company’s share price so far this year. IRISL plans to increase its Capital from IRR 82.5 trillion to IRR 116 trillion (around 40% capital raise growth) during the upcoming general assembly meeting.
The CEO also highlighted the company's commitment to corporate social responsibility, citing the construction of a cargo terminal in the Makran region, a coastal strip between Iran, Pakistan and the Gulf of Oman, as a key project contributing to local economic development and business growth.
TSE ceremony, aligned with global stock exchange traditions, celebrated IRISL’s IPO anniversary and reinforced its commitment to transparency and investor confidence. A dedicated Q&A session addressed stakeholder inquiries, further solidifying its role as a leader in Iran’s evolving financial sector.
