As part of the final semester the CEO and CFO participants of the #IPOready programme are in New York City (NYC). On their second day in the Big Apple the executives enjoyed a visit to NASDAQ organised by the Irish Stock Exchange (ISE) and received expert advice from leading law firms and investment banks.
NASDAQ bell ceremony & dual listing with the Atlantic Securities Market
Day two started with the opening bell ceremony at NASDAQ where the companies also found out more about the public and private markets operated by NASDAQ.
The ISE offers an efficient dual listing facility for companies looking to access international pools of capital in both Europe and the USA through its equity market - the Atlantic Securities Market (ASM). The process for listing on the ASM utilises the regulatory regime for companies listing on NASDAQ (and also the NYSE) and to also have their shares traded on the ISE.
Expert advice from global law firms and investment banks
Following their visit to NASDAQ, the #IPOready companies were provided with expert legal, tax and corporate advice from law firms Arthur Cox and Reed Smith LLP andreceived information about doing business and raising financing in the USA from international investment bank, Houlihan Lokey.
In addition, the CEOs and CFOs were given feedback from global investment bank, Moelis & Co, on their equity story, business model and appropriate funding strategies.
Led by the ISE, and supported by Enterprise Ireland, the aim of #IPOready is to enhance the knowledge and skills of CEOs and CFOs in raising capital, investor relations and business management.
The high-potential companies involved in #IPOready’s inaugural 15-month leadership course come from a range of sectors in Ireland including technology, security, food and printing.
